★Dang, is it already September? Where did the summer go? Well, we guess all that hot weather at the end of August went right back to the furnace it came out of, leaving a big wide open space for that first cool front we know is just around the corner. This good weather sure does make working on your show projects a lot more fun, too.

★But it’s still work, and its still time to really barrel down on on State fair stuff, and getting ready for the Comal, Bexar and Guadalupe shows right around the corner, first part of October. You’ve had your first round of feeds, supplements, and coaching to get you started, so now it’s time for round two. And we’ve had our own round two stocking up to be ready to supply and re-supply everything you need, even crossing our fingers a time or two, cause we’re happy to see you do the best that you can do, it’s a privilege to be part of the process!

★Let’s talk a little bit about nutrition and the supplementation. For the show pigs we have two excellent feeds, the Sunglo Pre-Starter and Starter that will give you a great foundation after weaning on up to about 70 pounds, and then a great follow-up with Sunglo 16G and 18G feeds, 16% and 18% protein, respectively, that will carry you right up to Show day.

For cattle projects we have a winning lineup of VitaCharge stress tubs that will work wonders for regulating internal body temperature to keep your project cooler, happier, and less apt to be stressed, as well as a great cattle tub by Sweetlix that will also work wonders in keeping the flies away.

Many of you feed year-round, but if you haven’t already, you’ll need to head this way to improve your supply to stay ahead of that growing herd, and of course you might do some thinning out pretty soon, too, with archery season coming up on us pretty quick.

You’ve got to feed your pony too, not to mention get him ready to do a little riding for fun in this good weather.
