★Now we’re into July, and right off the bat we’ve got the 4th, firesworks at night, and lots of family fun, that is, unless we get a big heat wave! Well, we made it through June, and after hammering away at the worst of the spring pests that decided to stick around after May, it may get plumb too hot even for the flies, but not for the fleas! Everybody that’s not going to Dallas or Heart of Texas this month and August will be getting ready for county shows in Fort Worth, San Angelo, Austin and San Antonio, not to mention the State Fair coming in September and October as well as Heart of Texas for sheep and goats. We take show stuff serious, because we’re involved in shows too, and we get all of our own supplies right here in the store, because we like to win, or at least make a dang good showing. We have the absolute finest show feeds available, along with every kind of item you can imagine for beauty and hygiene, not to mention knowledgeable folks right here to can help you save a nickel when you come in to get your armload of stuff. And as this July moves forward, we’ll be right in sync with your demand as you start to figure out what your next move is going to be and how your project will pan out through development on up to show day.

★And did we mention that it’s not just the pets in the cattle that are getting thirsty and wanting a little refreshment and a cool place to wait out the hot part of the day? Never fails. Once in a while I’ll come up to the back porch and head to the door and look down, and sure enough they’ll be a scorpion or two just sitting there waiting for the door to open so they can scoot in to cause all kinds of trouble.
